Terms of Service
General terms for use of the CGST public website and submission of cybersecurity service enquiries.
1. Website Purpose
This website provides general information about Cyber Guard Solutions Team, its cybersecurity services, news, videos and contact channels. Website content does not itself create a professional-services engagement or guarantee that CGST has accepted a requested project.
2. Eligibility and Lawful Use
You must use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not use forms, pages or technical features to interfere with availability, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious content, abuse rate limits, impersonate another person, or violate applicable law.
3. Cybersecurity Testing Requires Authorization
Penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, phishing assessment, digital forensics, malware analysis and other security activities may affect systems or data. CGST will perform testing only under appropriate authorization, agreed scope and rules of engagement. A public enquiry does not authorize CGST—or the person making the enquiry—to test any system.
4. Service Engagements
Professional work begins only after the relevant parties agree the scope, authorization, deliverables, responsibilities, timing, fees and other engagement terms. The website description of a service is a general overview and may not include every activity or limitation applicable to a particular engagement.
5. Client Responsibilities
A client requesting security work is responsible for providing accurate scope information, identifying ownership or authorization for systems in scope, disclosing material constraints and obtaining any permissions required from system owners, vendors, cloud providers or other affected parties.
6. Confidential Information
Security findings, credentials, architecture information and incident data may be sensitive. Confidentiality requirements for an actual engagement should be documented in the applicable agreement. Website contact forms should not be used to send passwords, private keys, one-time passwords or other unnecessary secrets.
7. No Guarantee of Complete Security
Cybersecurity assessment reduces uncertainty but cannot guarantee that a system is free from every vulnerability, future attack technique, configuration change or human error. Findings reflect the agreed scope, methods and conditions during the relevant assessment period.
8. Recommendations and Remediation
Security recommendations are intended to support risk reduction. Implementation decisions remain with the organization responsible for the affected systems, taking into account business, operational, legal and technical considerations.
9. Website Content
CGST aims to keep public service descriptions and guidance accurate, but website content may be changed, expanded or corrected. Public content is general information and should not be treated as legal, regulatory, financial or guaranteed security advice.
10. Intellectual Property
CGST branding, original website content, layouts, reports, templates and other original materials may be protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party brand names and social-platform marks remain the property of their respective owners.
11. External Services and Links
The website may link to third-party platforms or use external service providers in production. CGST does not control the independent terms, availability or privacy practices of those third-party services.
12. Privacy
Use of personal information submitted through this website is described in the Privacy Policy. Newsletter subscription is separate from security enquiries and requires a separate opt-in workflow.
13. Indian Legal and Cybersecurity Context
Website operation and cybersecurity engagements may be subject to applicable Indian law, including relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, rules or directions issued under that framework, applicable data-protection requirements, contractual law and other laws depending on the engagement. The specific legal requirements for a project should be determined from its facts and scope.
14. Incident and Evidence Work
Incident-response or digital-forensics support may involve evidence preservation, access logging, regulated data or reporting obligations. Engagement-specific procedures should be agreed before such work begins.
15. Limitation and Engagement-Specific Terms
Any warranties, liability limits, indemnities, service levels, payment terms and dispute provisions for professional services should be set out in the applicable signed engagement agreement. These public website terms do not replace those negotiated terms.
16. Changes
CGST may update these website terms to reflect changes in the website, services, law or operating model. The latest published version applies to subsequent use of the website.
